Resources
This page is for anyone looking to get into sewing, and is where I will compile all of the helpful info i've found online that got me started! it only has a few things at the moment, but keep an eye out for updates!
Fursuit-Specific tutorials
- Matrices.net
- Matrices is chock full of information regarding fursuit making, and it has tutorials for just about anything you can think of! while some tutorials/patterns cost money, many are free!
- Freckled Cat Creations
- This is a youtube channel that i've found has very solid tutorials for all things fursuit making. I especially like their Handsewing For Fursuits tutorial, as it covers some basic handstitches.
- Mugiwara Cosplay
- This youtube channel has many good patterns, and guides for each one. I believe all of these patterns cost money, but even just the videos are helpful to gain understanding of the process.
I used their Wickerbeast Handpaw Template to make my first handpaws!
Fursuit-Making Supplies
- Howl Fabrics
- Howl offers a lot of high quality faux fur, and in a wide range of colors! they are a bit pricey, but their quality is consistent.
- The Foam Factory
- This supplier sells foam by the sheet (82" by 76") at very reasonable prices. while I havent used this foam, it seems that the Lux foam they offer is the best option for fursuits.
