Claw Handpaws (handclaws?)

this is my first project on the site, and im very excited to share it!

Claw Handpaws!

(or "handclaws" as i've taken to calling them)

i've always been interested in fursuits, but i've only recently started to learn how to make them! I wanted to do something smaller and achievable to start, so as opposed to a head, I opted for handpaws! these were made using the Wickerbeast Handpaw template from Mugiwara Cosplay, which I like quite a bit. the template and tutorial made a lot of sense, and seam allowance was included, which makes things a little easier!

I did run into some problems while making the first paw, but I accounted for it on the second one, which turned out much better!
some problems I ran into...

machine sewing the claws was tricky, and the first paw's claws turned out a teensy bit stubby,
the thread I used for sewing the palms together was heavy duty, which my machine really had a hard time working with. it was hard to get it to run slowly without the thread bunching, but i did it!
it was a challenge to sew the cuffs on, and for the next set I make I am going to use minky instead, which I heard works better (it's also softer :3)

the left cuff is a little crunchy but thats okj :)

I am very happy with how these came out, and I am excited to wear them out to a con! (someday...)
I look forward to making another pair, which will be a little more traditional than these! (i've already started working on them :> )
